I have had some of these for about a year, and my advice would be to buy a size smaller than you expect. They are very comfortable, but the waist elastic is slowly expanding. this is only marginal, but it is losing its ability to do it's job. I'm still wearing them, but sewing a tuck out of the waistband.

The fabric is an absorbant cotton which is what I wanted as a pose to nylon like underwear.this underwear was a bit long in the leg but had the desired elastic fit.
